Hong Kong’s newest vegan-burger craze, Impossible Burger launched here in May 2018. If you haven’t already heard, this isn’t your standard veggie patty, but a realistic twin to our beloved beef burger. Made 100% with plants, it’s been engineered by a team of scientists, using about 74% less water and 87% fewer greenhouse gases and needing 95% less land to create.

EDIT, JANUARY 2019: The gluten-free Impossible Burger 2.0 has just been released at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. Reviews are very good, and the 2.0 is made from soy protein instead of wheat. Hong Kong should be getting the new recipe by mid-March 2019. Find the details here

EDIT, 2 AUGUST 2019: Impossible is going retail! Having just received FDA approval for its GMO heme from soy (which makes the product 'bloody') to be used as a colour additive, and partnering with OSI Group (an enormous supplier of food products) products will be on the shelves for consumer in the US in September. Stayed tuned for the first HK retailer.

We’re proud to say that Hong Kong is the first city outside the US that’s got a taste of the Impossible Burger. Here’s a list of the places that serve the Impossible patty in HK – gobble them up before other countries catch up!
