The Food’s Future Summit, held in August 2017, was a one day-event that gathered industry professionals, change-makers, experts and conscious consumers to examine the key innovations, trends and issues in the culinary world. The goal of the Summit was to inspire and initiate change within the world of food, recognise future-forward businesses, champion individuals behind critical causes and empower consumers to make informed decisions about what they choose to eat. Topics covered included Hong Kong’s invisible food crisis, dining in 2020, urban farming, sustainability, the health of our oceans and the story behind Green Monday.
The Food’s Future Summit 2018, to be held on 21–22 September, is set to be an even more enlightening event. Foodie is partnering with the Consulate General of Sweden to feature this amazing country’s innovative approach to building a sustainable food-based future. Co-founder and CEO of US food-technology company JUST, Josh Tetrick is set to deliver the keynote speech to kick off the Summit, with a full line-up of global industry leaders taking part in interactive discussions, panels, workshops and a showcase of the latest innovations breaking new ground in the world of food.
