One of our top recent tastings, Maximal Concepts’ Fish & Meat has just launched a fab à la carte lunch menu, available on Mondays through Saturdays from 12pm until 3pm. Light and flavourful starter options include crispy whitebait with aioli; grilled octopus salad and beetroot-cured salmon with rocket salad. Moving on to the mains, there are lots of tempting fishy and meaty choices, from seafood risotto, to slow-roast chicken salad, to a Fontina meatball baguette. You can end your meal on a sweet note with a slice of Sicilian lemon tart or a rich chocolate pot.

Things get even more interesting with Fish & Meat’s Sunday brunch, priced at a supremely affordable $390 per person (an additional $220 gets you free-flow Nino Franco Prosecco). The brunch kicks off with a starter buffet overflowing with seasonal salads, fresh seafood and shellfish and cold cuts. The most tempting options are the DIY mozzarella salad and bruschetta stations for perhaps a pairing of mozzarella with grilled peaches and bruschetta topped with salsa verde and prosciutto. Then it’s time to choose your main course, with options including sweet-meets-savoury cinnamon polenta pancakes with crispy bacon; brioche with wild mushroom ragout, poached egg and truffled Fontina and slow-roasted porchetta stuffed with pork and fennel sausage. The dessert offerings literally hit the sweet spot, and it would be tough to choose between the tiramisu and hot caramel salted chocolate cake.
