All-you-can-eat barbecue lunch at Henry
Meat-master chef Nate Green is proudly American, so it’s only natural that he would present such an indulgent 4th of July feast at Henry. On Saturday, 4 July, 12–2:30pm, you can devour the finest of BBQ meats and sides followed by dessert and free-flow beverages. Henry’s 4th of July BBQ lunch menu ($668/adult; $350/child aged 6–12; $998 to include free-flow drinks for adults) features Chef Green’s special seven-pepper beef brisket, BBQ pork belly and BBQ chicken – all of which are imported from US farms. It doesn’t get much more American than that!

Dark Side of the Rainbow at The Pontiac
Recently listed as one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars, The Pontiac is an popular watering hole that advocates and celebrates equality. Their sixth annual Red, White & Rainbow event will kick off this Sunday, 5 July, launching their Dark Side of the Rainbow Sundays. A celebration of equality and independence, Dark Side of the Rainbow will feature Dead Man’s Fingers cocktails ($50 each). Pololi will also be supporting the cause by providing some delectable poke-style eats for a suggested donation of $100. The proceeds will go towards a local LGBT charity.

Bangin’ BBQ specials at Feather & Bone
Premium butcher Feather & Bone allows guests to dine in or take the BBQ to their own backyard with their 4th of July specials. The limited-edition bangin’ brisket sandwich ($168) promises to remind you of Independence Day fireworks with a flavour explosion. This smoky sarnie is only available until 5 July, so get it while you can! Those who wish to host their own celebration at home or head down to the beach can purchase a BBQ meat pack ($998), which contains a 1kg grain-fed T-bone, four bacon burger patties, 800g of house-made BBQ pork ribs and New York steak rub prepared in-house. Or, you can add on four bacon burger patties and 3kgs of beef brisket for a total of $1,498.

Buffet brunch at Kinship
Founded by American and British chef friends Chris Grare and Arron Rhodes, Kinship always showcases both cuisines, but this weekend, they’re going full red, white and blue. On both 4 and 5 July, dig into Kinship’s Independence Day buffet ($498 for food; +$198 to include free-flow drinks) and enjoy a special menu featuring crawfish, deviled eggs, Cajun roast chicken, corn dogs and much more. The meal will end with the quintessential American dessert: apple pie.
