"The burger is omnipotent and irresistible, it can never be weakened, it can never be slowed down, it can never stop its ever-increasing growth in popularity. It is the single most powerful force in the food universe."

– Josh Ozersky (American food writer and historian, 1967–2015)

There are few more polarising topics than where to find the best burger in Hong Kong (Trump, though – strong contender).

With happy hours, we can all agree on a few favourites.

On madeleines, our hearts belong to one and one alone.

But when it comes to who does the best burger...

Without further ado, these are our contenders for the 10 best burgers in Hong Kong (in no particular order).

Note: the burger restaurants selected had to be burger specific. Even if there is a cracking burger at Wagyu, for instance, they are not a burger-speciality restaurant and therefore cannot be included.

More notes: best to view this on a real computer over a mobile for optimum GIF-burger-build action.

Did we miss one?

We left this last spot open because inevitably there will be a thousand people who tell us that we forgot to check the burger joint behind the noodle store that emerges at sunset every eighth year. If we did forget one, please comment to tell us which burger you think deserves to be included and we'll add it in!
