New Bar: Dr Fern's Gin Parlour

Hong Kong's newest hidden bar opens in the LANDMARK

The story begins, like so many worth telling, with a woman. It started with a mysterious burlesque singer named Mrs Pound, who opened a little restaurant on Pound Lane in Sheung Wan with the help of her generous benefactor, Mr Ming. After immersing herself in the world of Asian street food, she then meandered over to Foxglove on Central's Ice House Street, where she enthralled Frank Minza in a love affair that left him forever waiting for her return. In fact, Mr Minza was so lovestruck that he named his private bar after Mrs Pound's favourite flower. The femme fatale's latest captive of the heart is Dr Fern, a man enchanted by the world of botanicals and gin. The concept behind Dr Fern's Gin Parlour revolves around the blending of fine gin with aromatic botancials, and it is here where he administers Mrs Pound her daily dose of herbal libations.

Two doors lead to Dr Fern's Gin Parlour, although only one will open the gates to this cocktail haven. Tucked away in a hidden little nook in glitzy LANDMARK, the bar is still a bit of a secret, although not for long! During the soft opening party earlier this week, we sipped demurely from vibrant teacups and tall cylinders, sampling some of the finest blends of gin. Tempting bites, as well as coffee and afternoon tea, will soon be added to the offerings, so stay tuned for updates.

We're sure Mrs Pound would be pleased to while away her days here, in her newest paramour's exquisite parlour.
