La Favorita
La Favorita lunch & tasting menus
Dramatic trattoria La Favorita is serving nostalgic Italian classics and wine. The lunch menu offers a two-course ($238) and three-course ($268) option, and for dinner, it might be hard to get past Conviviale ($480/person), where the team take care of your food options, and La Cena della Famiglia ($780/person), with drinks included too.
Honjokko
Honjokko is the sushi-focused offshoot of the group’s Honjo restaurant, boasting a large wine and sake selection. There looks to be something for everyone here, with lots of platters and sets and even an omakase tasting menu ($1,290/person) on the à-la-carte menu.
TMK Funk & Rolls
TMK Funk & Rolls is the funk-inspired temakeria in the TMK family that includes Rap & Rolls in Wanchai and Punk & Rolls in Sheung Wan. They specialise in their signature handrolls.
Tempo Tempo
Soft opening on 26 October, the Tempo Tempo terrace is big on bubbly cocktails and spritzes. With a vast outdoor space and no bookings, this bar sounds like the perfect place to simply turn up and enjoy an aperitif. There is a small food section on the menu (we like the sound of the I.F.C. – Italian fried chicken) and then a hefty 14 pages of drinks!

Published in August 2021:
We’ve got something very exciting to look forward to with Pirata Group’s self-contained all-day-dining destination The Sixteenth in Quarry Bay, set to open in the second half of 2021.
We’ve long been fans of Pirata Group’s stylish yet affordable and approachable restaurant concepts – from pasta specialist Pici’s many branches around town, to modern Japanese eatery Honjo in Sheung Wan, to newly opened (and stunning!) Italian bakery and café Pane e Latte in Stanley.
Newcomer The Sixteenth will house four distinct dining concepts under one roof in an 18,000-square-foot space seating 400 diners. Headliner La Favorita is described as a “flamboyant and celebratory venue of quintessential 1980s Sicilian dining experiences” – since we never dined in Sicily in the 1980s, we don’t know quite what to expect with this one, but it certainly sounds like a hoot. Knowing that Pirata Group co-founder Christian Talpo and Corporate Chef Andrea Viglione are both Italian, we can expect a big degree of authenticity, as is already displayed at the restaurant group’s Italian eateries, Pane e Latte, Pirata, Pici and The Pizza Project. Tempo Tempo is an extension of La Favorita, a quirky outdoor terrace bar.
Next, we move to the Japanese side of the spectrum. TMK Funk & Rolls is a funk-inspired version of the group’s fun and edgy TMK temakaria concepts (Rap & Rolls in Wanchai and Punk & Rolls in Sheung Wan), focusing on creative Japanese handrolls. Finally, there’s Honjokko, a sushi-focused offshoot of the group’s Honjo, set in a contemporary, intimate space.
As we get more deets about the opening of The Sixteenth, as well as each venue, we’ll keep you posted!
