Charbonnel et Walker’s personalised gift boxes
We’re sure Mum will be tickled pink by British chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker’s illustrated Mother’s Day chocolate boxes, available in two versions – round and full colour or heart-shaped and monochrome – the latter designed so that children can personalise their gift by colouring (or scribbling, as the case may be) in the box themselves. The round version, the Milk & Truffle Mother’s Day Edition ($368 for 225g), includes the brand’s hand-rolled milk and truffle chocolates, while the heart-shaped Colour-My-Heart Pink Marc de Champagne Edition ($338 for 200g) features Charbonnel’s iconic champagne-laced milk chocolate truffles dusted with icing sugar. Order online or in-store from 30 April.

No matter which brunch option is chosen, all mamas will be gifted with a Ruby Rosé cocktail, made with Pampelle red grapefruit aperitif, rosé and soda, and a box of house-made chocolate truffles to take home.

Chilli Fagara’s homemade dumpling kit
For those mums who need a little help in the kitchen, we love Chilli Fagara’s wrap-at-home chilli dumpling kit ($128 for pick-up or $168 via Deliveroo), which is also a great way to get little ones cooking too. Each kit includes all the fresh ingredients needed to create 10 signature Chilli Fagara dumplings filled with marinated minced pork, along with illustrated wrapping (often the hardest part) and cooking instructions. The Sichuan eatery’s beloved MA sauce is also included, but we recommend kids steering clear of this one – it’s made with numbing homemade Sichuan peppercorn oil. Pre-order until 1 May for delivery via Deliveroo or pick-up at Chilli Fagara from 2–9 May (order at least a day in advance).
If you choose to dine out at Chilli Fagara on Mother’s Day, all mums will receive a complimentary Mama Fagara cocktail, mixed with Beefeater pink strawberry gin, handmade Chinese flower tea, sugar syrup, tonic, egg-white foam and edible flowers.

Soil to Soul’s vegetarian Korean temple-food menu + afternoon tea
This one’s for all the health-conscious mamas out there. Contemporary Korean vegetarian restaurant Soil to Soul is now offering the Sunim Temple – The Taste of Enlightenment set menu ($780/person), featuring 24 tasting dishes designed by Buddhist nun Wookwan from original recipes in her celebrated cookbook Korean Temple Food: The Road to the Taste of Enlightenment. The restaurant’s farm-to-table concept uses vegetarian ingredients that are only home-grown or cultivated naturally, avoiding the five “forbidden pungent roots” of garlic, green onion, leek, chive and onion. To escape the crowds on Mother’s Day, this menu is served at weekday lunchtimes against the backdrop of Soil to Soul’s signature calming music.
Another lovely option at Soil to Soul is the Beyond Vegan – Spring afternoon tea ($498/2) in collaboration with local vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand SKIN NEED, offered daily until 10 May.
