Cordis, Hong Kong (Fly to the Stars Champagne Afternoon Tea by Alibi x GUERLAIN)

With the festive season upon us, Cordis, Hong Kong has created a dazzling afternoon tea set at Alibi in collaboration with French beauty brand GUERLAIN, inspired by their limited-time Fly to the Stars holiday collection and, in particular, the brand’s emblematic figure – the bee – and flowers such as bergamot and rose. On the savoury side, for instance, there’s hand-dived scallop with bergamot gel and foie gras parfait with spiced orange-fig purée, while honey-yuzu-hazelnut dacquoise and lemon-vanilla-honeycomb trifle feature on the sweet side. Eaton HK (Chocoholic Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet by The Astor)

Chocolate fondue takes centre stage at this weekend afternoon tea buffet at Eaton HK’s The Astor. The Four Seasons presents a very chic afternoon tea option for the holidays. At Gallery, bespoke Chinese tea from Yú Teahouse or coffee from Omotesando Koffee will be served alongside treats inspired by the hotel’s Michelin-starred eateries, to include baked mini BBQ goose bun, foie gras tart with fig, mulled berries and Madagascan vanilla choux and spicy chocolate yule log. Hjem (Festive Afternoon Tea)

Norwegian café Hjem is pulling out all the hygge stops with this afternoon tea set, where its three tiers of classic smørrebrød are accompanied by various sweet treats and cakes of the day such as red velvet cupcakes, gingerbread cookies, bread pudding and gingerbread truffles. Each set comes with a Nordic tea of your choice as well as a gingerbread latte.

The supremely festive Elegance Trio high tea at GREEN at Hotel ICON comes with so many delicious treats, you won’t even know where to begin! A partnership with beloved Belgian chocolatier GODIVA, the highlight has got to be the unlimited GODIVA soft serve, but there’s so much more in store. This three-course tea set crafted expertly by Executive Chef Danny Ho and team is more like dinner than traditional afternoon tea, arriving in three indulgent courses: oyster chowder with deep-fried oyster to start, a choice of main (our pick goes to the grass-fed beef tenderloin with truffle mash and French beans), ending with a stunning rotating three-tier vinyl turntable stacked with all sorts of decadent GODIVA chocolate goodies.

HUE (Festive Afternoon Tea)

Inspired by Oz's iconic flavours and pastries, HUE’s special holiday-themed afternoon tea is on the calendar this December. The Aussie-inspired goodies are deliciously varied, from Gruyère custard profiterole, truffled mushroom croquette and skewered furikake Wagyu to mini pavlova with lemon balm and verbena, cherry truffled lamington and hazelnut, rum and raisin chocolate tart. House-made scones with orange-thyme marmalade, rhubarb jam and cream are served alongside.

Island Shangri-La (Chopard Festive Afternoon Tea by Lobby Lounge)

Island Shangri-La has partnered with Chopard to transform the hotel’s lobby into a Swiss-style winter wonderland complete with cosy wooden chalets decked out with both Chopard and Christmas decor to the max. The luxurious afternoon tea set curated by Executive Chef Uwe Opocensky includes several heart-shaped sweet and savoury elements, inspired by the luxury Swiss jewellery company’s iconic heart motif. Funky vegetarian eatery JAJA has come up with a fun afternoon tea collab with Benefit Cosmetics, themed around the US brand’s signature pink colour. The plant-based sweets and savouries include bite-sized veggie quiches, tomato bruschetta, mini gingerbread houses and chocolate tarts fashioned to look like Christmas trees. A pink-hued mocktail – Pink Purse – is part of this decidedly feminine afternoon tea set.

This holiday season, Kerry Hotel is joining forces with premium caviar and truffle distributor Plantin Kaviari to present two editions of its luxurious Truffle & Caviar Afternoon Tea. In the winter version in November, savoury highlights include amber saffron trout roe with blue mussel jelly and Kaviari lobster rillettes, deep-fried frog’s leg with Plantin truffle-herb cream and Kristal caviar egg Benedict with Comté, while in December, the Plantin Kaviari journey is elevated, showcasing revamped treats with a festive flair such as Plantin wild truffle-mushroom soup and wild mushroom mousse and Balik smoked salmon and Transmontanus caviar with salted egg yolk and capers. Kowloon Shangri-La (Signature Christmas Delight Afternoon Tea by Lobby Lounge x GLYCEL)

Over at Kowloon Kowloon Shangri-La, the festive collab is with Swiss skincare brand GLYCEL. Inspired by GLYCEL’s Enhance product series, the culinary team have come up with eight creative sweets and savouries, presented beautifully, as always, in Kowloon Shangri-La’s signature golden birdcage. These include the likes of duck foie gras terrine with pistachio, poached lobster with guacamole and caviar, Black Forest yule log, mulled wine panna cotta, chestnut-orange mille-feuille, chocolate tiramisu puff and more. The Upper House (Salisterra x Baking Maniac)

Salisterra, the modern Med restaurant atop The Upper House, is getting in on the holiday tea action with this collab with local mother-and-son cake shop Baking Maniac. The fab duo have crafted s’mores and candy-cane cake pops to complement Salisterra’s scrumptious finger sandwiches, chestnut Mont Blanc and Christmas tree filled with vanilla cream and red fruits, rounded out with cinnamon-vanilla eggnog and mulled wine for all the warm feels. In addition, Baking Maniac will be stationed on Level 6 of The Upper House in a festive pop-up featuring a range of the brand’s Christmas collection – we’re big fans of BM’s gingerbread-house-decorating kits and hot chocolate bombs.
