GIVEAWAY: free mini churros to the first 88 customers who walk in after 4pm on Tuesday, 25 August for Twist & Buckle’s official grand opening!

Tsim Sha Tsui’s Chatham Road is now home to Hong Kong’s very first churrería! Helmed by two South American amigos, Twist & Buckle serves up handcrafted churros with a contemporary twist. The tiny shop has already gained quite the following owing to its fabulous location and, of course, delectable and instagrammable churros.

Purists will love the El Churro Original ($22), which is lightly dusted with cinnamon and is, like all T&B’s churros, fried for just two minutes to ensure a golden crust with the use of minimal oil.

For the more adventurous, there are plenty of “glazed” options such as Coconuts ($35), slathered with homemade dulce de leche and coconut shavings, Hazle Lah ($35), which comes with a generous Nutella and chopped hazelnut topping, and Crunchy Matcha ($35), sprinkled with Fruity Pebbles cereal!

It doesn’t stop there... T&B also offers decadent churro ice-cream sundaes. The “chilled” sundaes ($48) come with a classic churro, soft serve and toppings, while the “special” sundaes ($58) feature all of the above along with a glazed churro. Popular choices include Movie Night ($48), topped with salted caramel sauce, M&M’S and caramel popcorn, Wonderland ($58), which features a white chocolate and strawberry glazed churro atop soft serve with fresh strawberries and strawberry syrup, and the nostalgic Cookie Monster ($58), drizzled with chocolate sauce, chunks of cookie dough and a bright blue churro!

All these go down a treat with T&B’s freshly made fizzy lemonade ($36), offering fruity and refreshing flavours like calamansi and mint and mango and passion fruit.
