We recently headed over to The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe – a jewel box of an eatery, all decked out in the luxury American brand’s iconic robin egg blue – to sample some items from the supremely Instagrammable (and video-worthy) breakfast/brunch menu. Although it opened last autumn in Hong Kong, it’s never too late to jump on the Tiffany bandwagon!
We tried the signature Blue Box toast ($198), a buttery, flaky, croissant-like cube filled with oozing banana caramel sauce, the tall and fluffy tower of honeycomb peanut butter pancakes ($188) – our sweet-salty personal fave (we could put the salted honeycomb butter on just about anything and be happy campers) – and the bacon and caramelised onion waffles ($198), which feature a thin layer of silky scrambled egg draped invitingly across a trio of dense, savoury waffles.
The portions are classically American-style huge, the prices are high, the setting and presentation are lovely. We won’t be back on the daily, but The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe does make for a extra-special brekkie treat with
a friend.
